Qaisar Muhammad Zaman, kit no. 7523/Iqbal House joined Cadet College Petaro in 1975 and left the college in 1980 after completing his Intermediate.

He was born on 3 July 1962, and got married to Mrs. Fauzia Halim on 5 July 1987. They have four children.

After leaving Petaro, Qaisar obtained his BSc degree from University of Bahrain in 1985, MS in International Management from from the American Graduate School of International Management ("Thunderbird"), Arizona  in 1989, and an MBA (Finance) from Arizona State University also in 1989.

He took up his first job in Bahrain while he was still in his final year at the University of Bahrain. He worked with NCR Corporation there as Consultant in systems services from 1984-1987. He also worked as an Intern at the NCR World Headquarters in Dayton OH in 1988.

After completing his education in Arizona, he then joined Chase Manhattan Bank in Bahrain as Vice President Corporate and Institutional Client Management from 1989 to 1996. Then during the next three years 1996-1999 he was Vice President Corporate Team Leader at Chase Manhattan Bank, Bahrain.

He then moved to London and joined JP Morgan Chase as Vice President Global Aerospace with responsibility for Chase's major client in the aerospace industry within the EAME region from 1999-2001.

From 2001-2010, he was a Partner/Executive Director in Arcapita Ltd, London and as Head of Infrastructure Investments for Europe. His main area of coverage was power, utilities, infrastructure assets, oil and gas, renewable, transportation, waste, telecommunication. Selected Investments that he was responsible for included Public to private acquisition of £2.1 billion electric utility Viridian plc in 2006 , Public to private acquisition of £300M water utility South Staffordshire plc in 2004 and a subsequent Exit in 2007, Development of 400MW of wind energy with RWE Innogy, the largest wind portfolio in the UK. “Energy Deal of the Year” award and Arcapita’s highest return investment to date, Acquisition of Falcon Gas Storage Company, Inc in 2005 for US$100MM and subsequent Exit in April 2010, and Acquisition of UK's leading freight train operator, Freightliner plc, for £350MM in July 2008.

Since 2011, he is the Investment Director at Frontier Power Limited in the UK.

He has been keenly involved in welfare activities for Petarians and others, and has been a Director of the Petarian Foundation.

He presently lives in the UK.
