Khalid Asadullah Khan, kit no. 975/Liaquat House joined Cadet College Petaro in 1967 in 11th Class and left the college in 1969 after completing his Intermediate.

He was born on 27 April 1952 and got married to Mrs. Rahela Nasir on 14 July 1988. They have 3 children. Khalid lives in Islamabad.

Khalid is my batch mate (1964-1969), and he was part of the large contingent of boys who were taken into the college in 1967 due to the expansion caused by construction of Iqbal and Qasim Houses.

Khalid was a brilliant student. He was virtually at the top of the class, and he stood first in the final Intermediate Board examination in 1969.

At the same time, he was an excellent sportsman. He was the best tennis and squash player, and was the Captain of the college Squash team from 1967-1969 and the Captain of the College Tennis team from 1968-1969.

After his graduation, he graduated as an Aeronautical Engineer and then joined PIA in 1974 as a Flight Engineer. His entire career has been with PIA and he is one of the senior most flight engineers in the airline. At present he is on the Boeing 747 Jumbo aircraft.

Khalid got married into a family of Petarians. Two of his wife's brothers are Petarians - Dr. Salman Abbasey 7767/J and Farhan Abbasey 8485/J. And his wife's younger sister also got married to a Petarian - Raheel Zafar Khan, 7743/J.

It is an honour for me to be the batch mate of Khalid Asadullah.
