Maqbool Ahmed Babri kit no. 971/Iqbal House joined Cadet College Petaro in 1967 in 11th Class and left the college in 1969 after completing his Intermediate.

He was born on 14 August 1951 and got married to Mrs. MajBritt (from Sweden) on 11 August 1979. They have 1 daughter - Maira.

Maqbool is my batch mate (1964-1969), and he was one of the large contingent of boys who were taken into the college in 1967 due to the expansion caused by construction of Iqbal and Qasim Houses. He spent his early years in Wah Cantt.

Maqbool was always a very innovative and intuitive of my batch mates. We always got along very well. He was soft spoken and had a very good sense of humour.

We didn't meet for nearly 3 decades, and then i found him in Lahore in the late 1990s. He was such an accomplished personality. He had gone off to Sweden and obtained a Masters in Clinical Psychology. His second achievement in Sweden was to get married to MajBritt.

Back in Pakistan, Maqbool - now famous as Max Babri - had made a name for himself. He was one of the most sought after corporate training experts. He operates his management consulting and training company under the name of The Konsultants. He had been teaching courses at LUMS as well.

The Petarians had the great fortune of benefiting from his lectures too. He was invited by the Petarian Foundation to conduct a one week training program for all the CCP teachers at Islamabad during the summer of 2004. It was an interactive workshop, and had a great impact on the 50 teachers who came all the way from Petaro.

During the Golden Jubilee celebrations of the college, Maqbool delivered a lecture on "Anger and Fear Management" on 24th February 2007 at Petaro. The lecture can be viewed online by clicking on the following links:

Maqbool is always a source of great love and friendship amongst us. It is an honour for me to be the batch mate of Maqbool "Max" Babri.
