Nadeem Zaigham, kit no. 808/Latif House joined Cadet College Petaro in 1965 in 7th Class and left the college in 1971 after completing his Intermediate.

He was born on 4 November 1954 and got married to Mrs. Basharat on 31 December 1982. They have 2 lovely daughters - Sehr and Sara. The family is settled in Islamabad.

Nadeem is the only son of Ch. Saeed Ahmed who was Head of Dept of Physics at Petaro, and a Vice Principal.

He graduated from Sindh University with a B.Sc.(Hons) in 1974, and an M.Sc. from the Sindh University with specialization in Electronics / Digital Computers in 1975. Later on he also completed his Ph.D. in the year 2000 from Lesley University, Massachusetts, USA in Educational Studies.

His first job was with Divisional Public School Lahore as a Lecturer. However, very soon he joined Lawrence College Murree and remained a Lecturer and House Master for a year (1977-78).

Nadeem joined Pakistan Navy in 1978 in the Education Branch, but took an early retirement from the navy in 1992 while he was a Lieut. Commander and opted to go into the field of education as a civilian.

During his employment with the Navy, he was an Instructor and House Master at the Pakistan Navy Junior College (1979-80), Principal/In Charge of Pakistan Navy Dockyard Technical School Karachi (1980-81), In charge of Examination Cell and Degree Section at Pakistan Naval Academy (1981-85), Naval Representative at the PAF College Sargodha (1985-88), Director of Studies at PNS Himalaya (1988-90), and Staff Officer Training to COMKAR (1990-92).

Soon after leaving the Navy, he joined Applied Engineering Services & Dong Fang Electrical Corporation of China as Director Administration and Projects from 1992 to 1999.

Since then, his main concentration has been towards education. He worked for Bahria Foundation, Islamabad (2000-2002) as the Manager of the Bahria Education and Training Services BEATS.

In 2003, he started an online magazine called "Intellect" which has wide readership. This is Pakistan's first online family magazine, which has an appeal for people belonging to all walks of life. It has sections on Development Studies, International Relations, Intellect Thoughts, Health and Diet, Women's Affairs, Art and Culture, Philosophical thoughts, Parenting, Matrimonials, Glamour and Gossip, Issues of interest for teenagers and children, Poetry, Technology, Religion, Literature, Books, Gardening, Cooking, etc. The magazine is also registered with ISSN. His elder daughter Sehr Nadeem is now the Editor in Chief of "Intellect".

Around the same time, he also established a consulting company called NASTAC - N&S Training Advice Consultancy. Out of respect for his father, he has named Ch. Saeed Ahmed Sb as the Mentor and Managing Director and himself as the Deputy Managing Director. On their official website, Nadeem introduces the company as being "self financed, non commercial & public service organization, a team of experienced consultants, researchers, and developers dedicated to technology research, development & implementation and helping to setup a platform where research and development activities can be accomplished at an affordable and reasonable cost to help, support & facilitate community development and welfare activities."

He has also been at the forefront of Petarian activities as well. He is the founder of the first Petarian e-group on Yahoo called "PetarianTalk", which was established in April 1999. PetarianTalk is now focused on being an academic discussion group amongst the Petarians.

The "Intellect" magazine is actually the successor of the "PetarianMag" which Nadeem published for over a year. This was also an important contribution towards the Petarians.

Another interesting work of his is the Maigh Malhar which is Pakistan's first web publication on classical music. The web address of this site is http://www.maighmalhaar.com/. It is the most comprehensive publication about classical music with details on artists, instruments, raagas, composers, etc.

In recent years, he has also been instrumental in getting Petarians together in Islamabad, and hosted dinners and functions for them on more than one occasion. He has also contributed towards the development of the Petarian Association Islamabad Chapter.
