Noor Ahmed Nizamani, kit no. 7/Jinnah House joined Cadet College Petaro in 1957 and left the college in 1962 after completing his Intermediate.

He was born on 23 December 1943 at Tando Qaisar. He has four children - two sons and two daughters. One of his grandchildren - Abdul Rahim Nizamani, 9317 is also a Petarian.

At Petaro, young Noor Ahmed was active in sports, debates, quiz competitions. He was an air scout and a land scout. He was part of the college team at Risalpur for inter-college debating competition, and at Hasan Abdal for sports and quiz competitions. He was also a member of the College Basketball Team.

After leaving Petaro, Noor Ahmed Nizamani moved to the USA where he studied post harvest technology at Cornell University. He then also worked and indulged in business for several years.

After returning to Pakistan, he has been primarily involved in agriculture on his ancestral lands at Tando Qaisar in District Hyderabad. With a progressive outlook towards farming, he has been involved in a number of initiatives to improve farming methods in the country.

In this regard, he has been publishing the "Modern Agriculture" magazine for many years. It is the only English language magazine on agriculture in the country.

Noor Ahmed Nizamani has also been involved in various NGOs for many years. He is the President of the Sindh Agriculture Forum which works for the development of agriculture and improving the lot of rural communities in Sindh. He has also been an Executive Director of SPO (Strengthening Participatory Organization), a Canadian funded donor agency to support rural development in the country. He has also been a member of the Sindh University Senate.

Noor Ahmed has been a very important personality for bringing Petarians together. He is always there to call on Petarians and to help them in any way possible. He has also held the position of the President of Petarian Association for one tenure.

He presently has his homes in Hyderabad and Tando Qaisar.
