Jahanzeb and I have a unique relationship. We were
a total of 5 cadets who joined CCP in 1965 in 9th
class. It was Jahanzeb, (late) Fazal Ilahi, Aslam
Chandio, Kamal Qureshi and myself.
Jahanzeb was Senior
Section Leader of Ayub House in 12th Class. He was
also a good sportsman.
Jahanzeb's father used to be the Superintendent of
Police at Karachi in those days. And during our
holidays, I would often go to his place and meet
his father too.
After leaving Petaro, he joined the Pakistan Army
and retired as a major. He was in the armoured
corps.
Jahanzeb spent a substantial part of his post-army
career with security services companies. In
particular, he was a key member of the management
of SMS Security Services. He became an EVP in the
company.
At present, he is working as the Head of HR,
Administration and Security at the NADRA Regional
Office in Karachi.
You can never get bored talking to Jahanzeb. He is
always full of life and stories. It is really
great to have him as my batch mate and entry mate.
