Mohammed Islam, kit no. 565/Latif House joined Cadet College Petaro in 1964 in 9th class and left the college in 1968 after completing his Intermediate.

He was born on 16 January 1949 at Faisalabad.

Everyone at Petaro knew him as "Pa'i Islam". And even to this day, if someone refers to "Pa'i" Islam, one knows who is being talked about.

"Pa'i" Islam was one of the finest sportsmen of his time. He excelled in football, hockey and athletics. He was a member of the college teams for all three sports and was also a member of the Latif House teams. He held college colours in all of these three sports.

He was short and stocky and was always the "back" on the football field. It would be extremely difficult to get past him to score a goal.

He played the ICCST on behalf of the college in 1966 and 1967, and became a member of the Famous Forties in both of those years.

"Pa'i" Islam was into business, and at one point in time he was the Managing Director of Friends Textiles in Faisalabad. He moved to the UK and his now settled in Glasgow.
