Saifur Rehman Grami, kit no. 53/Jinnah House joined Cadet College Petaro in 1958 and left the college in 1961 after completing his Matric.

He was born on 21 October 1945 and got married to Mrs. Shaista. They have three sons and a daughter.

He expired on 15 January 2013.

He was Assistant Editor of The Cadet Magazine in 1961.

He served with Karachi Municipal Corporation for over 25 years, and retired as Director for Culture, Sports and Social Welfare. He played a prominent role in setting up the Sadequain Art Gallery among other remarkable feats.

He was also former Vice-President and Secretary of the Arts Council, Karachi. As an office bearer of the Arts Council, he organized many events and came up with inventive ideas to promote art related and cultural activities in the city. The idea for 'koocha-e-saqaafat' was his brainchild.

He has been an active member of the Petarian Association in the past. In fact he was a member of the first elected Managing Committee of the Assocation.

Saifur Rehman Grami passed away during open heart surgery at Karachi on 15 January 2013. May Allah grant him jannatul firdaus.
