Nadim Ahmad Ansari, kit no. 513/Ayub House joined Cadet College Petaro in 1964 and left the college in 1969 after completing his Intermediate.

He was born on 15 July 1952 and got married to Mrs. Seemi on 2 April 1979. They have 3 children - Hasan, Nida and Hira.

Nadim is my batch mate (1964-1969), and was one of the smallest boys in our class. He was known for being the rider of Topaz, the smallest horse at Petaro. Thus, Nadim and Topaz became synonymous. In our final year, Nadim was appointed the College Captain for Riding.

After passing out from Petaro, Nadim joined NED Engineering College, and graduated as a Civil Engineer in 1974.

During his engineering career, he worked in Pakistan, Iran, Nigeria and UAE. He thus has acquired proficiency in a number of languages including German, French, Farsi and Arabic.

During the mid-1990s, he became the Chief Engineer for KMC and was instrumental in putting together the road network plan for Karachi and for setting standards for construction. He also had a number of major roads (including Shaheed-e-Millat Road) re-carpeted with highest of standards.

For the last several years, he has been running his own company under the name of NAA Consulting Engineers. He is the Chief Executive.

Nadim has served the Petarian Association, Karachi for several years on different Managing Committees. He has held the posts of Elected Member and Joint Secretary Publications.

It is an honour for me to be the batch mate of Nadim Ahmad Ansari
